San Diego In-person Entry Protocols
The health and safety of all ATC participants and staff, along with their family members, co-workers and patients, continue to remain our top priority and we’d like to thank you for your support as we plan our next meeting.
COVID-19 Vaccination & Booster Strongly Recommended
The ATC 2023 Congress will proceed with a COVID-19 Vaccination and Booster Strongly Recommended approach for all attendees, exhibitors, press, and ATC/ASTS/AST staff.
Considering ongoing concerns regarding COVID-19 and communicable health risks more generally, ATC will implement additional health and safety protocols appropriate to the public health circumstances existing at the time of the Congress. Those protocols may include but are not limited to the following requirements:
- COVID-19 vaccination
- Use of personal protective equipment and social distancing, or other similar measures
Compliance with some or all of the protocols adopted by ATC may be mandatory for attendance and participation at the Congress. Additional information regarding the specific health and safety measures, and any necessary consents by you, will be communicated to Attendees prior to the first day of the Congress.
ATC is committed to following prevailing public health guidance and industry best practices for large gatherings, including but not limited to following the current United States Centers for Disease Control guidance specific to San Diego, CA, and all applicable state and local guidance that may be in place at the time of the Congress.
Although attendees, exhibitors, press, ATC/ASTS/AST staff are recommended to be vaccinated and boosted, we cannot guarantee the vaccination status of hotel staff and other individuals that you may come in contact with.
Mask Wearing is Strongly Recommended
Masks wearing is strongly recommended and will be at the discretion of the participant. Masks will be available at ATC Registration in Hall B2 Ground Level of the SDCC.
San Diego Convention Center Meeting Room Set Ups
ATC scientific session rooms will be set up allowing for socially distanced seating in the front sections of the room. Session rooms will be refreshed, and microphones wiped down by convention center staff during session breaks.
Mark Your Social Comfort Level
ATC will have stickers available at registration that we recommend you put on your badge to display your social comfort level.
Below are meanings of the sticker colors.
- Green – Hugs and high fives are welcome!
- Yellow – Elbow bumps okay.
- Red – 6’ Distancing preferred.
San Diego COVID-19 Testing
More information coming soon on COVID-19 testing locations within walking distance to the San Diego Convention Center.
COVID-19 testing facilities will not be set up inside the San Diego Convention Center.
Travel Safely
ATC recommends all attendees, exhibitors, press and ATC staff comply with travel guidelines issued by the CDC when traveling to San Diego. In addition, we expect all individuals will think carefully about any risk they may pose to others and to make informed choices about travel as well as onsite and external engagement.
